"Charity is beyond race and religion. We don't have to be rich to be generous. We give as much or as little as we can" - Choong Koon Yean
"Kindness is a universal trait. You don't need to be one color/one race/one religion/one gender to be kind" - Selina Boey
"As God bless us, we are to bless others. Helping the poor is not merely an obligation,it is a privilege. Action speaks louder than words"- Adelene C
"Giving brings joy at every stage. We experience happiness in forming the intention to be generous, we experience happiness in actual act of doing something and we experience happiness in remembering the fact that we have given."
"The purpose in life is to be matter, to be productive, to be useful, to have it make some difference that you lived at all."
"Nobody can do everything, but everyone can do something."
"Generosity is not only volunteering or giving money or time, generosity comes in all kind of forms - material, intellectual, emotional and spiritual."
I am a Buddhist who believes that charity is beyond race and religion. It often astounds me when I get remarks that "she is non-Christian but helps out in Christian charities." I strongly believe that we all should look beyond race and religion in doing good turns. We don't have to be rich to be generous. We give as little or as much as we can. All we need is the right attitude.Winston Churchill said, "Attitude is a little thing that makes a big difference." I want to give credit to my oldest friend, Selina for impelling this act of kindness and for her contributions; and my cousin, Adelene, who is ever willing to lend a hand in whatever cause. May we all and our loved ones be blessed always.
