Early Chinese New Year Joy 2010

Today Adelene and i visited the Bodhi Home, run by Pure Lotus Hospice of Compassion and brought with us:
8 packets of 800gm kokokrunch
4 bottles of peanut butter
4 bottles of jam
An English Book
and 16 gift packs for the 16 children in the Home. The gift packs consisted of angpau, sweets, mandarin oranges and snacks.

Naturally the children were very excited to receive the gift packs, especially the red packet. It's really nice to see the joy and the excitement of some of the chil
dren when receiving the gifts
.An early Chinese New Year gifts for them.

We also visited an old lady, who is taking care of her 7 year old grandson at Mount Erskine. We gave them 5kg rice,4 cans of food, 10 packets instant noodles, a colouring book, stationaries such as colour pencil, pens, pencils, rubbers, rulers, sharpener. We also gave sweets, chocolate, snacks and a new t-shirt bought from SPCA to the grandson.

I would like to specially thank you one of my blog followers who actually came and
help out today. Cristin helped in unloading and distributing the stuff. Besides, she helped us carry a box of heavy things up the long, winding and sloping road, to be given to the old lady and
the grandson. It was a hot day. Everyone of us was sweating but it was a wonderful and meaningful day. (Photos taken on 25th Jan 2010)
